Teacher of Visually Impaired in Roanoke, VA

A school in Roanoke, VA is seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction to K-12 students. This contract position offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time opportunities available for the current school year (CSY).

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required
• Orientation and Mobility (O&M) certification or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification required
• Experience working with visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to visually impaired students in a public school setting
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and materials
• Implement Orientation & Mobility training as appropriate
