Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, focusing on visual impairments
- Valid teaching license in Visual Impairment (required)
- Experience working with students who are visually impaired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in adaptive technologies and teaching methods
Location: Burnsville, MN
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring alignment with students’ educational goals
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals to foster student development
- Integrate assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
