A full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) position is available to support elementary students with varying visual impairments in an engaging educational environment. This contract role offers consistent hours with flexibility considered for qualified on-site candidates seeking part-time schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the curriculum.
• Manage a caseload of no more than 20 students with varying levels of visual impairment.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt materials and classroom settings.
• Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to discuss student progress and support plans.
• Monitor and document student development related to visual impairment services.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Experience in elementary education settings is preferred.
• Ability to design and implement instructional strategies for visual impairment.
• Effective communication skills to work with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to attend ARD meetings and participate in school activities.

Location and Schedule:

• Position is located in San Benito, TX.
• Full-time hours of 37.5 per week preferred.
