Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Missouri

A part-time opportunity is available for a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth services. This role focuses on supporting a 9-year-old second-grade student at the elementary level, with an emphasis on teaching writing skills through virtual sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the student’s visual impairment.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct 2.5 hours of remote teaching each month.
• Develop individualized strategies to enhance the student’s writing abilities.
• Collaborate with classroom educators and caregivers to integrate learning goals.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification is required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in developing literacy and writing skills.

• The position is contract-based for the duration of the Upcoming School Year (NSY).
