An educational opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support a K-12 student population in Westerville, OH. This part-time contract position begins ASAP and continues through the end of the school year, providing essential services tailored to students with visual impairments.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license active in Ohio
- Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
Location: Westerville, Ohio
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are visually impaired
- Assess students’ needs and adapt curriculum and materials accordingly
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and professionals to integrate accessibility and accommodations in the learning environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation as required
- Offer guidance and training to teachers and staff on best practices for working with visually impaired students
