Short-term contract Speech-Language Pathologist, Prairieville LA

Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a short-term assignment! Soliant is working with a school 35 minutes from Prairieville, LA (45 minutes from Baton Rouge), and we're seeking a licensed SLP who can help out with consecutive FMLA openings!

Details below:

• Preschool-3rd grade for 2 weeks in the start of the school year
• Preschool-6th grade for the following 6 weeks
• 4th-6th grade for next 6 weeks.

The total assignment duration is 14 weeks, and may extend or be renewed further.

Both ASHA-certified SLPs and Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply; if you do not currently possess a license in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the state of Louisiana, Soliant can offer guidance on the licensure process.

Day-to-day duties include:

• Conducting evaluations and assessments of students' speech and language development; diagnosing students with speech/language impediments
• Developing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals in consultation with district SLPs
• Providing speech-language therapy, documenting student progress, and completing paperwork pertinent to the provision of services, or to Medicaid billing
• Participating in IEP meetings, and communicating speech and language goals to student care-givers

Additional details relating to the caseload, and building assignments, will be discussed during an interview with the administrators.
