Job Description: We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Little Falls, MN. This position requires CCC credentials, demonstrating your expertise and proficiency in the field.
Program: SUN Program (Severe, non-verbal students, all disabilities) Age Range: Birth to 2 Knowledge: Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of speech and language abilities for students in the SUN program
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication challenges in severe, non-verbal students with various disabilities
- Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting speech and language goals
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
- Adapt therapy techniques and strategies to meet the specific needs of each student
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations
- Stay updated on current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Minnesota
- Previous experience working with severe, non-verbal students with disabilities, preferably in a birth to 2 age range
- Knowledge and understanding of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
