Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) – School Setting

Location: Westerville, Ohio Area 

Job Details: 

  • On site preferred
  • K-12 caseload 
  • Full time preferred 
  • OH State SLP-CCC Licensure 
  • Prior school setting experience is preferred but not required 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessments: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students to identify speech/language disorders, delays, and other communication challenges.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs.
  • Therapy Sessions: Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, targeting speech articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, parents, and administrators to develop strategies and accommodations for students’ success.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed, and providing regular updates to parents and staff.
  • Compliance: Ensure all services comply with federal and state guidelines, including IEP (Individualized Education Plan) development and implementation.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices, current research, and educational methodologies related to speech and language therapy.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education) and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) knowledge preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting or with children preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
