Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities of students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with various communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and achievement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
