Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Minden, LA

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Duration: 2023-2024 School Year

 We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in helping our students overcome communication disorders and develop their speech and language skills. You will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies for integrating speech and language goals into the classroom
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Educate and support parents on techniques and activities to enhance speech and language development at home
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A passion for helping students overcome communication challenges
