Responsibilities:

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
• Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of the licensed SLP
• Conduct speech and language screenings and assist with assessments as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and at home
• Document and track students' progress, and communicate effectively with the SLP
• Support students' participation in therapy activities and facilitate their engagement in the learning process

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
• Valid state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in New Mexico
• Previous experience as an SLPA is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for working with students and helping them develop their communication abilities
