Position Overview:
Soliant Health is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, travel position in Durango, CO. This is a temporary assignment that will start on April 15th and end on October 31st, 2025. The ideal candidate will work in a school setting to provide speech and language therapy to students, supporting their communication and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Evaluate: Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students to determine specific needs.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, IEP goals, and student needs.
- Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings, implementing evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and overall educational plans.
- IEP Participation: Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring that therapy goals are aligned with students' educational objectives.
- Monitor Progress: Track student progress toward therapy goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and providing regular updates to parents and school staff.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and any required reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide Support: Offer guidance to teachers and staff on strategies to enhance students’ communication skills within the classroom.
Qualifications:
For SLPs:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Colorado state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Experience working with children in school settings.
- Knowledge of IEP development and school-based therapy practices.
For SLPA:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology, or completion of an accredited SLPA program.
- Valid Colorado state licensure or certification to practice as an SLPA.
- Previous school-based experience preferred.
- Understanding of speech and language therapy techniques.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to the individual needs of students.
