Social Worker (Kankakee, IL)

Soliant has partnered with a wonderful educational community near Kankakee, IL to place a Social Worker for the 2018-2019 school year. 

Details of this position below:

• Full-time
• Applicants must have the Professional Educators' License (Social Worker) certificate in order to begin the school year

Responsibilities include:

• Working with students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 plans
• Acting as part of the mental health support to counsel students in general education
• Offering counseling on an individual or group basis
• Conducting preschool screenings
• Participating in building-level crisis teams to develop and fine-tune guidelines for crisis intervention

This is a close-knit educational community where administrators work closely with student support personnel. Applicants will work closely with a school psychologist, a school psychologist intern, and two newly appointed administrators who have made it their priority to improve student mental health.
