Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in New Hope, MN. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and psychological well-being of students, helping them overcome challenges and thrive academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement interventions and support plans.
  • Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students in need of social work services.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Advocate for students' rights and ensure their needs are met within the school system.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student interactions and progress.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school climate through awareness programs and initiatives.
  • Provide resources and referrals to students and families for additional support services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Valid Minnesota licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW).
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community.
