Position Overview:

Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Certification: Must have or be eligible for Special Education Teacher certification in North Carolina.
- Experience: Experience in special education is preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local and state special education regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- IEP Management: Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Instruction Delivery: Provide instruction that aligns with IEP goals and objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Work with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive educational settings.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress and modify instructional methods as needed.
- Use of Resources: Implement assistive technology and specialized materials to support student learning.
- Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and confidential records of student progress and participation.
- Meetings & Development: Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and engage in professional development opportunities.
