Become a vital part of our school district near Augusta, ME, as a Special Education Teacher. We are seeking dedicated professionals for two positions, one for K-1st graders and the other for 6th-8th graders. This role offers fulfilling hours, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday), starting ASAP and continuing until June 14, 2024.

Position: Special Education Teacher
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

  • Position 1: K-1st graders
  • Position 2: 6th-8th graders
    Location: Near Augusta, ME


  • Licensure: You must have a valid Special Education license in the state of Maine.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with the specified grade levels is advantageous.
  • Responsibilities: As a Special Education Teacher within our district, your responsibilities will include:
    • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
    • Providing specialized instruction and support tailored to students' unique needs.
    • Collaborating with other educators, parents, and professionals to ensure students' academic and personal growth.
    • Monitoring and documenting student progress, making necessary adjustments to educational plans.


  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Special Education teaching certification in Maine.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and support students with diverse learning needs.
