Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina

Job Summary: Fort Mill School District is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with disabilities and will meet all required licensure and certification requirements.


  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with a variety of disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of students with disabilities in the general education setting.
  • Use assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other team meetings related to student support and progress.
  • Stay current with best practices in special education and participate in professional development activities.


  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid South Carolina teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Certification in Special Education (required for teaching students with disabilities).
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Valid South Carolina teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Certification in Special Education.
