Location: Monument, CO Area
Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), onsite
Pay: $33-45/hour
Caseload(s): K-5, mild-moderate needs
Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Monument, CO area for the 2024-25 school year. This is a full-time, onsite role, and full benefits, weekly pay, and guaranteed hours are offered with this position. Job Details:
- Conduct assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of identifying learning issues, and recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome issues and maximize learning.
- Participate in PPT's and assists in developing Individual Educational Program ("IEP") for students.
- Assist students and teaching staff in implementing students' IEP's and behavior management plans.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and pupil personnel staff to design and implement programs and strategies to address student’s individualized needs.
- Coordinate with district representatives, outside agencies, organizations and institutions, including state and federal authorities as needed.
- Coordinate with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs, and to familiarize stakeholders with social work services.
- Serve as ready resources to students and parents to provide counseling that will lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and behavioral management; serves as liaison between home and school.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Colorado Special Education Certification required - Open to out of state candidates with pending CO License
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities
