Job Description: We are seeking Special Education Teachers for the current 2023-2024 School Year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support and creating an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailoring instruction to meet their unique needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience for all students.
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods and interventions as needed.
- Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to support students in accessing the curriculum.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians, involving them in the educational process.
- Stay current with best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Comply with all state and federal special education laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania State Teaching Certification in Special Education.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Pennsylvania clearances
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with disabilities.
- Ability to adapt instruction and create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Previous experience in special education is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
