Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Hadley, MA. This role is for a high-needs behavior program in a self-contained K-6 classroom setting. The position starts on August 26th and runs through June 13th.

Job Details:

• Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (SPED)
• Location: Hadley, MA

• Classroom Setting: Self-contained K-6 high-needs behavior program

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with high behavioral needs within a self-contained classroom.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address each student's unique needs and goals.
• Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment tailored to students with significant behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student development and success.
• Monitor student progress, adjust teaching strategies as needed, and participate in ongoing assessments and evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Special Education.
• Experience with high-needs behavior programs and self-contained classrooms is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
