Special Education Teacher Needed Near Lincolnwood, Illinois- 24/25 School Year

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will provide individualized and group support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive a high-quality education in an inclusive and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and specialized support in both one-on-one and small group settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and create a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities.
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet each student's unique needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and emotional growth.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal special education laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (required).
• Valid Illinois Special Education Certification (required).
• Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred).
• Strong understanding of IEP development, special education law, and individualized instruction.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a strong passion for helping students succeed.
