Location: Near Keizer, Oregon
Hourly Rate: Up to $34/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field, Valid Oregon Special Education teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
About the Position:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated team in a school district near Keizer, OR. The ideal candidate will work with students who have a variety of disabilities, providing them with the necessary support to succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in one-on-one or small group settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to create and implement individualized learning plans.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and other school-based activities to ensure students receive appropriate support.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and best practices in instruction.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required.
Pay & Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: Up to $34/hour (based on experience and qualifications).
