Location: Near Quincy, Massachusetts
Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field, Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a school district near Quincy, MA. The ideal candidate will work closely with students who have a variety of disabilities, providing them with the tools, strategies, and support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support for students in one-on-one or small group settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective implementation of students' learning plans.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Advocate for students and ensure they have access to necessary resources and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and IEP development.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with students with various disabilities is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
Pay & Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (based on experience and qualifications).
