Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education
  • Valid AL State Certification for Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities
  • Knowledge of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and accommodations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and school teams
  • Passion for supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Ability to create engaging and accessible lessons for students with varying needs

Position Overview:
Soliant Education is actively seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school district in Harpersville, AL. In this role, you will work with students in inclusive and resource settings to provide personalized instruction and create a supportive learning environment. You will work closely with other educators and parents to ensure the academic success and well-being of students with special needs. What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Provide direct instruction to students with various learning needs in one-on-one or small group settings
  • Work with students on both academic and social skills development
  • Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
  • Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
  • Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related events as required
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and educational needs
