Pay: Up to $40.00 an hour. Additional bonuses are available for higher credentials and more experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred)
  • Current Minnesota State Special Education Teaching License
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional/behavioral disorders
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators
  • Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially
  • Experience working with K-12 students in diverse educational settings

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students based on their specific IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students' success
  • Participate in IEP meetings to establish goals and monitor student progress
  • Implement positive behavior management techniques to support students with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Track and report on student progress, modifying educational strategies as necessary
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth
