Special Education Teacher / Resource Classroom

Title: Special Education Teacher - Full-Time Resource Classroom Position

Position: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 2:15pm, Full 2023 / 2024 School Year

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Special Education Teacher to work with a Jr High School student population in a Resource Classroom setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-teaching Math and supporting students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

- Teach Math utilizing a co-teaching model to support students with and without disabilities
- Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with the student's team
- Modify or adapt materials and curriculum to ensure that all students are able to access the content
- Monitor and document student progress, and communicate with families and the student's team
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certificate in Special Education
- Experience working in a resource or collaborative teaching model
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
