Special Education Teacher - Full Time (2023-2024 School Year)
Location: Bessemer, AL

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Bessemer, AL. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning abilities.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students' academic and social success.
• Conduct assessments and track students' progress regularly.
• Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Alabama Special Education certification (or eligibility for certification).
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
