Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract Job in Longview, WA Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Longview, WA. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional educational support to students with special needs. This is a full-time position for the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to develop comprehensive education plans.
• Provide individual and small group instruction as necessary.
• Utilize technology and other educational resources to enhance instruction.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievements.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (Washington state certification preferred).
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
