Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract Job in Maple Park, IL Part Time

Blazerworks, in collaboration with a school district in Maple Park, Illinois, is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. This is a part-time position for the extended school year, offering an excellent opportunity to support the educational needs of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs during the extended school year
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and development
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to provide comprehensive support for students
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and instructional materials to enhance student learning
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Monitor and document student goals and objectives
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Actively participate in meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education from the state of Illinois
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Passion for supporting the educational needs of students with special needs
