Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract Job in Tonopah, AZ Full Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Tonopah, Arizona for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional educational services and support to students with special needs, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to meet students' unique learning goals.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and growth.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance student learning and participation.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
