Special Education Teacher (x3) - York County, PA

Caseload/Details:

York Learning Center is seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team. We have three specific openings:

1. AIBS (Autism and Intensive Behavior Supports): This position will focus on providing education and support to students with autism and intensive behavior needs.

2. MDS (Multiple Disabilities Supports): This role will involve working with students who have multiple disabilities, providing tailored support and accommodations.

3. BI (Behavior Intervention - General Education Students with Behavior Needs): This position will work with general education students who require behavior intervention and support.

Special Requirements:

• Valid PA teaching license in Special Education.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in accordance with their specific needs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Address and manage challenging behaviors through effective behavior intervention techniques.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
• Follow all school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
