Job Title: Special Education Teacher near Boston, MA

Job Description: Our school district near Boston, MA is seeking a qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 23/24 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with disabilities, a passion for teaching, and a strong commitment to supporting students' academic and social success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Provide instruction and support to students with disabilities in academic and social skills
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure the inclusion of students with disabilities in the general education setting
  • Monitor and track student progress and adjust instruction and support as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant school-based meetings
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding students' progress and needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
  • Active Massachusetts state certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • At least 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of and experience with a variety of disabilities and interventions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
