Job Title: Special Education Teacher near Boston, MA
Job Description: Our school district near Boston, MA is seeking a qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 23/24 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with disabilities, a passion for teaching, and a strong commitment to supporting students' academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide instruction and support to students with disabilities in academic and social skills
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure the inclusion of students with disabilities in the general education setting
- Monitor and track student progress and adjust instruction and support as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant school-based meetings
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding students' progress and needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
- Active Massachusetts state certification as a Special Education Teacher
- At least 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities
- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of disabilities and interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
