Special Education Teacher

Soliant is currently working with a school district near San Bruno, CA, and we are seeking four dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students in the Hillsborough, Colma, Daly City, San Bruno, San Mateo, and surrounding areas.

Positions Available:

1. Two Special Education Teachers for RSP (Resource Specialist Program) in middle school.
2. One Special Education Teacher for SDC (Special Day Class) in elementary school.
3. One Special Education Teacher for resource support in elementary school.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students based on their unique learning requirements
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure student success in the inclusive classroom
• Differentiate instruction and utilize appropriate teaching strategies to meet students' diverse needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents, guardians, and the IEP team
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP meetings as required

Qualifications:

• California Education Specialist credential with a mild-moderate authorization
• Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and interventions
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Schedule and Compensation:

The working hours for these positions are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This is a full-time position for the duration of the school year.
