Special Education Teacher

Title: Full-Time Special Education Teacher - Jr High School

Position: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 2:15pm, Full 2023 / 2024 School Year

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with Jr High School students in a Resource Classroom setting. This is a full-time position for the full 2023 / 2024 school year. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with disabilities and a commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities:

- Teach Math with a co-teaching model to support students with and without disabilities
- Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with the student's team
- Adapt or modify curriculum and materials to ensure that all students are able to access the content
- Monitor and document student progress, and communicate with families and the student's team
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certificate in Special Education
- Experience working in a resource or collaborative teaching model
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
