Special Education Teacher

Title: Jr High School Special Education Teacher - Full-Time Resource Classroom Position

Position: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 2:15pm, Full 2023 / 2024 School Year

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a Resource Classroom with Jr High School students. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with disabilities, the ability to teach Math with a co-teaching model, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities:

- Co-teach Math to support students with and without disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEP) in collaboration with the student's team
- Modify or adapt curriculum and materials to support student success
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and progress monitoring
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certificate in Special Education
- Experience working in a resource or collaborative teaching model
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
