Full-Time Special Education Teacher in Marion, North Carolina
Location: Marion, North Carolina (25 minutes West of Morganton, NC)
School Year: 23/24 School Year
Start Date: ASAP through May 29th, 2024
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: Elementary and Middle School Students (Self-contained classrooms)
Job Description:
Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to make a positive impact on the lives of elementary and middle school students? We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Marion, North Carolina, for the 23/24 school year. This full-time position involves working with self-contained classrooms and providing essential support to students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students with special needs, tailoring teaching methods to meet their unique learning requirements.
- Classroom Management: Create and maintain a conducive learning environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students.
- IEP Collaboration: Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assessment: Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with parents, guardians, and other team members to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Special Education Teacher license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience working with elementary and middle school students with special needs is preferred.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

This position is onsite only; virtual classrooms will not be considered.
