Soliant is currently partnering with a school district near Summerville, Charleston, Goose Creek, Walterboro, and Holly Hill, and we are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position at Woodland High School. This role involves teaching high school students with special education needs, focusing on math, science, and social studies. Position Details:
- Start Date: August 2023
- End Date: June 2024
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Location: Woodland High School
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to high school students with special education needs
- Teach core subjects including math, science, and social studies
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Create engaging lesson plans and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate students with varying abilities
- Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other members of the school team to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students with special needs
- Strong knowledge of math, science, and social studies curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
