Special Education

Soliant is currently partnering with a school district near Summerville, Charleston, Goose Creek, Walterboro, and Holly Hill, and we are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position at Woodland High School. This role involves teaching high school students with special education needs, focusing on math, science, and social studies. Position Details:

• Start Date: August 2023
• End Date: June 2024
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Location: Woodland High School

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to high school students with special education needs
• Teach core subjects including math, science, and social studies
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Create engaging lesson plans and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate students with varying abilities
• Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other members of the school team to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with high school students with special needs
• Strong knowledge of math, science, and social studies curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
