Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Special Education Teacher to join our team in Wilmington, DE. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with a team of educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure the success of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including progress reports and IEP documentation.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
  • Foster strong communication and partnerships with parents, guardians, and district staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Delaware teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting the growth of every student.
