A school district located in San Francisco, CA is actively seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join their team for the 2023-2024 school year. The successful candidate will assist the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SLP in conducting assessments and evaluations of students with communication disorders
  • Implement therapy programs as designed by the SLP
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to provide coordinated services to students with communication disorders
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy programs as needed
  • Document student progress and communicate with parents/guardians as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
  • Valid State Speech Language Pathology Assistant certification
  • Experience working with students with communication disorders
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff
