Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students? Do you have experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or a strong desire to work in the field of speech-language pathology? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team at a school near Phillips, Wisconsin as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide support in implementing individualized speech and language therapy services to students.
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to identify students' communication needs.
- Implement therapy plans and techniques developed by the supervising SLP to address students' speech and language goals.
- Work closely with students, both individually and in small groups, to facilitate their speech and language development.
- Support students' progress tracking by collecting data and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to students' communication goals.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of therapy materials and resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Prior experience as an SLPA is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong interest in speech-language pathology are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and team members.
- Passion for supporting students' communication development and a genuine interest in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Reliable and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Familiarity with relevant therapy techniques, tools, and resources is a plus.
- Willingness to collaborate and learn from licensed SLPs.
