Responsibilities:
- Work closely with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to provide speech and language therapy services to students.
- Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and goals based on each student's unique communication challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create comprehensive strategies for student development.
- Assist in delivering therapy services in both one-on-one and group settings, under the guidance of the licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Help monitor and document student progress, working to implement adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate actively in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, providing valuable insights into students' goals and progress.
- Work alongside licensed professionals to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- A valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license or certification.
- Associate's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from an accredited program.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially within an educational setting, is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in assisting with speech and language assessments.
- Dedication to helping students achieve their speech and language goals.
- Availability to work full-time for the entire school year.
