Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Claremont, NH and surrounding areas
 

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 23/24 academic year. As an SLPA, you will work closely with our Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with communication and language difficulties. Your role will involve implementing therapy plans, conducting activities, and providing individual and small-group therapy sessions to help students improve their speech and language skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans and interventions
  • Conduct speech and language activities under the supervision of the SLP
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Assist with assessments and data collection to monitor students' progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and reports
  • Support students in developing functional communication skills and strategies

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or relevant field
  • Valid New Hampshire state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred, but new graduates are also welcome to apply
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Dedication to providing quality services and supporting students' success
