Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Caseload: PreK-8th Grade

Are you a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) seeking an exciting opportunity to work with PreK-8th grade students in Vacaville, California for the '23-'24 school year? We have both full-time and part-time positions available, and we welcome candidates who are passionate about assisting students with their speech and language development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language therapy services to students
  • Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans for students with communication needs
  • Work with small groups or individual students to deliver therapy sessions
  • Assist in conducting assessments and documenting student progress
  • Collaborate with the supervising SLP, teachers, and parents to support students' communication goals
  • Help create and adapt materials for therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
  • Valid state certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (California certification preferred)
  • Experience working with PreK-8th grade caseload is desirable
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
