We are currently seeking highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathologists to join our team for the upcoming '23-'24 school year. As a district committed to supporting student success, we value the contributions of our speech-language pathologists in helping students develop their communication and language skills.

Position Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist in our district, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload ranging from birth to 8th grade. We have multiple positions available to accommodate different grade levels and student needs. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide assessments, interventions, and therapy to support students' communication development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapy techniques to address students' speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports, and IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, resources, and best practices
  • Attend team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent conferences as required

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Connecticut
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience working with diverse age groups, from birth to 8th grade, preferred
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the special education process
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for helping students reach their full potential in communication skills
