We are currently seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Diagnostician to join our Birth to Three Transition Team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments of preschoolers aged 2.11 to 5 years, with a focus on speech-language development. This is a diagnostic-only position, and you will be working closely with families, educators, and other professionals to provide critical information regarding a child's language and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of preschoolers aged 2.11 to 5 years, using standardized tools and clinical observations, to diagnose speech and language disorders.
- Provide written reports and recommendations to families, educators, and other professionals regarding assessment findings and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with other members of the Birth to Three Transition Team to ensure a smooth transition for children from early intervention services to preschool programs.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in preschool speech-language development and assessment.
- Attend team meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric speech-language assessment, with a focus on preschoolers
- Strong knowledge of culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred
