We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) Program in Olympia, WA. This temporary position will run from July 5, 2023, to August 3, 2023, providing valuable services to students during the summer break. As a SLP in the ESY Program, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech and language goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective intervention strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Implement evidence-based practices and utilize appropriate materials and resources
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Attend team meetings and actively participate in the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) process
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Washington
- Experience working with school-age children and knowledge of special education procedures
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Proficient in using technology for documentation and data collection
