Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at a reputable school in Forrest City, AR. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with elementary school students, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech and language disorders. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to enhance their child's communication skills at home
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and other relevant meetings
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Arkansas state license (or eligible for licensure)
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment approaches
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
