Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our school in Burkburnett, Texas for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders. Your expertise will help students improve their speech and language skills, allowing them to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders, both individually and in group settings.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques to target specific speech and language goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom curriculum.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
  • Provide guidance and support to parents, offering strategies and resources to enhance communication skills at home.
  • Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to maintain caseload and documentation.
