Job Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Partnered School District in Birmingham, AL
Are you a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students? We are thrilled to announce a full-time SLP position available for the 2023-2024 school year in our partnered school district in beautiful Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities:
As a full-time SLP, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students within the district. Your role will involve:
1. Conducting assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
3. Providing speech and language therapy to students in one-on-one or group settings.
4. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
5. Monitoring and documenting students' progress.
6. Participating in IEP meetings and providing input for the development of IEP goals.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
2. Valid state licensure as an SLP in Alabama.
3. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
4. Previous experience working in an educational setting preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Passion for helping students overcome speech and language challenges.
