We are currently seeking a dedicated and talented Speech Language Pathologist to join our team for the upcoming '23-'24 school year. As a district focused on fostering growth and success, we value the contributions of our speech-language pathologists in helping students develop their communication skills.

Position Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist in our district, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech and language difficulties. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with an engaging caseload of elementary and middle school students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide assessments, interventions, and therapy to help students reach their communication goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapy techniques to address students' speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports, and IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, resources, and best practices
  • Attend team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent conferences as required

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Oklahoma
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the special education process
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for helping students reach their full potential in communication skills
